New to the site and I hear that there are going to be new Futurama episodes! Who, what, where and how!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are we talking about it being back on TV and if so are we talking about Adult Swim only or are we talking about new episodes coming to DVD? Is everyone coming back including Katey? It all sounds too good to be true. I've held a huge grudge against FOX for treating the show like cr@p and dumping it all the time for baseball.

From what it would seem, Billy had a bit of misinformation regarding the new episodes.  He was hearing from one side that new eps were greenlit and ready to go, however it now appears that this was in fact, not true.  A straight to DVD Futurama project is still in the works from what I understand.

DVD, I'll take what I can get. Has Billy mentioned anything specific as to what we're talking about here with regards to DVD? How many episodes, when it could be out and if Katey was going to return?

If futurama were to continue I would highly doubt that it would be without Katey.  I think the DVD's are going to be in movie form rather than episodes.  (not sure, just what I keep hearing).  You can check out the iMDB page at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0471711/

Now I'm even more confused. There seems to be way too much misinformation out there and nothing definite.

Indeed, but you can take solace in the fact that Futurama will most likely be brought back in one form or another with the original cast.

With TV being as cr@ppy as it is and burning my Futurama DVD collection into the ground it couldn't happen too soon for me.

"You win again gravity!"

"I'm going to fly her brains out"

"Oh, your crying like a women"

"Oh God, your killing me, OH GOD YOUR KILLING ME!"

Alright, well here's basically what's going on. A little while ago, perhaps maybe 2 months ago, Billy posted in a thread that David Cohen called him and said some time in the summer they'd be recording for a direct-to-dvd Futurama movie, and that there'd be 4 in total that were a go.

Which thread this was posted in, I don't recall and I'm too lazy to find it. But it's there, trust me. It was due to this post that all those sites around the internet started going futurama crazy and people started flooding this site for a couple days for the proof.

Now, just yesterday, Billy in that "howard stern" thread with the sh*tload of views posted that Futurama had been just about approved for 26 new TV episodes. This caused another crazy day around here and people are flocking like mad and the word is being spread everywhere.

Turns out Billy talked to David Cohen again about all of this and Billy got some of his facts mixed up and the television show being returned is not yet a go and what he wrote here is not fact. He unforunately got his facts straight and has apologized a few times on here hoping that everyone will know what the truth actually is.

Now, the DVD's are probably still a go, since he never said that they definitely weren't. I'm quite positive that all of that stuff is still in just as much motion as it was when Billy first announced it.

Some people are saying that perhaps Billy spilled the beans and is trying to cover it up, but I'm quite sure that's unlikely. It's all up in the air right now, but at least it's being heavily discussed and there's some excitment in the air.
