Aye behold the awesome power of the internet to disseminate information to rabid fan base, arr, there she blows, arr. Do you remember that simpsons with the bloke underneath the exec table with a laptop linked to the internet. That was a funny image.
Maybe there should be an email fans can spam to get them to actually do it/ show interest,
I guess the best thing fans can do is buy the DVD's to show profit motivated execs that people love the show enough to effect the bottom line. So if you dont already own them time to get the DVD's to ensure Futuramas future.
I would imagine most people here have the DVD's already.
I would imagine the problem is that the execs like to delude themselves of their own importance and free will, not that they are mere robots walking a tightrope to at the whimsy of fate, with a very short job life expectancy. So when they get thousands of fans demanding "bring back futurama!", i suppose their natural reaction is "na f^^^ em" pity really.
Thats the problem, so what is the solution, I think to redirect the fan(atics) passion into something constructive, some sort of competition or channelling of the fans imperative urge to see more.
If they had any sense theyd surf the tidal wave of enthusiasm with a marketing campaign rather than try to just try deny it. Trying to turn back the tide is a losing battle imho. Especially as the genie is out the bottle.
Oh curse you cruel fate for getting my hopes up only to dash them again. :D

At the end of the day lifes too short to be waiting on the whimsy on some studio exec.
Just my random thoughts :)
